I was at uni for 4 years and lived in 3 different houses with 3 different agencies and almero were by far the worst people I have ever had to deal with, if you see a property owned by them stay 1000 miles clear. Never fixed any of the issues we suffered with all year and when it came to getting our deposit back they were trying to charge us all an additional £400 for work that needed doing before we moved in, anything to make an extra quid off a student the tight sods. Worst company to ever disgrace the earth.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
Awful communication from the start and just generally slow reactions to every issue.
E.g
Our communal door was broken about 2 months into the tenancy, it still remains unfixed to this day (8 months from first reporting it) despite many calls to maintenance. Living in a dodgy area meant break ins were frequent and having our communal door wide open was an invitation to thieves.
During this time of the main door being broken our property was broken into twice within 48 hours. We were not contacted by almero about the break in until 4 days after it first happened. Instead we were sent a video of our smashed main door by a friend still living in the area. It took 2 days for the door to be boarded up and we still have no confirmation that our flat is secure or know the full extent of the damage despite asking for video evidence. (The property is 3 hours away so it wasn’t feasible to drive there to check during lockdown restrictions)
We were never provided with the insurance policy from the beginning so we had no way of contacting insurance to inform them.
Also, our washing machine door broke after a wash so my wet washing was stuck inside. They took almost 5 days to send someone out to fix the door and get my washing out which was mostly ruined.
Some of the staff have been rude to us over the phone on many occasions, they are definitely not concerned for our welfare or the property welfare. They are extremely slow to answer any emails and always seem to reply late in the day just before office hours end which gives us a limited time to reply and get something sorted.
After moving back home early due to corona almero still made us pay full rent, with no consideration for our financial welfare.
