Mike was pretty rubbish, only really cared about taking the rent from us, he had no real concerns on regard to our basic safety. He really did do the bare minimum and looking back I realise he made all of us Tennant's believe that the problems with the house were because of us and were our responsibility. Its only since moving out (into a well maintained property) I realise how terrible he really was
