After signing the tenancy agreement I paid him the deposit. After a few weeks I asked when it was going to be registered. Fast forward a few months and still had nothing to say it was registered. Me and the others living there reported the washing machine leaking water onto the floor and the fridge barely keeping cool enough to keep food safe during the summer but he was too tight to replace or fix them. I chipped the corner of some Ikea furniture in my room and admitted it when leaving. He kept £100 of my deposit when the table is only worth a fraction of that (Linnmon table on Ikea web site).
