The flat is part of the landlords property. He rents 3 flats there and the accommodation itself is good. He does not do repairs. Damp in my flat on one wall he said he would fix but never did. Broken side to bath that he caused when he went in to fix a leak that went down into his property and it ended up cutting and scarring my leg, entrance door to flats was not secure, no safety handles on stairs, etc. Technically speaking his daughter was the landlord in name only but everything was to be ran through him and he did a lot of dodgy things. I cleaned and left flat in great condition and he refused to return my deposit, was threatening, intimidating, brought a stranger and letting agents in my space with no warning, would enter without knocking, very disrespectful and tried conning me to spend more my own money to do up his place to get my money back. Access for large items was through his house and thus delivery of items or moving out became stressful and uncomfortable to every one involved and he laughed when confronted about entering uninvited saying i couldn't do anything....I was naked one of those times. I called the police and lodged a complaint and slept on a sofa in my living space because one of his access was through my bedroom. Was panicked and had anxiety and was glad to leave. My boyfriend was another tenant of his other flats and he was rude to both of us and his behaviour only became worse when we both moved. As I had rented from him directly he did not protect my deposit as required and pocketed the whole thing. As my bf went through the agency and they had he got his deposit bk. Worse experience.
