The house is poor - had we viewed this house properly before i don’t think we’d have picked it. The rooms are wildly uneven in sizing and there is even a 6th bedroom that the landlord tried to pass as a bedroom- we have been told that letting agents told him this was too small of a room to be rented out hence it is used as a spare storage unit for the landlord. Think that sums up the mindset of our landlord anyways. 4 double beds room and one single bed as the room is not even big enough. The rooms are weirdly shaped and it is very inconvenient. Stairs are uneven, the flooring in the kitchen is disgusting and is a vinyl covering that comes up when you hoover. The carpets are disgustibg to the point where even when you do clean it becomes instantly dirty again. The garden was a huge selling point for us, only to learn that there was wasp infestation in there that gardeners described as a “health hazard” that never got solved. We had rats too and mould in many of the rooms and the landlord advised to just “open the windows everyday”. I understand that we pay the price we pay because we have ensuite however the room sizing issue prevails. The Interior of the house does not equate to the price we pay and I visit houses all the time of my friends to pay a lot less than us and they have nicer living space
