Good at sending repair men to fix things. Fees expensive and lots of fees. Had to fight to get deposit back - did get it back but resented time wasted. Agency tried to make us pay for a cleaner, but we did not want to pay for a cleaner (used to moving out and end of tenancy cleaning) Our deposit was withheld because we had left a bit of limescale on the shower head. Agency claimed mould in silicone was caused by us, but check in photos showed it there in beginning. Agency claimed we had not maintained the garden. We moved in in May and left in October, the agent had not looked at check in and check out pictures which showed more weeds in May than in October! The only legitimate reason for withholding deposit was that we had forgotten to replace three incandesent lightbulbs.( in the end we were charged £45 for the agency to replace these). Very frustrating to have to spend time getting back £200 just for the above. We were left wondering if this kind of treatment of deposits was common for this agency. We were forced to sign a year tenancy, very hard to find family houses and when we had to move out earlier, despite giving alot of notice and agency having found someone to move in straight away, we were charged £1,060.80 for the privilege....

I give them some stars because unlike other agencies I have experienced they did not try to actively con us out of extra money. However, agency fees were extortionate, especially considering they were really of no help to us. It was difficult to get them to answer the phone. They would phone me whileI was at work and when I called back couldn't remember why they rang - on several occasions. They asked for documents to be faxed to them, then sent frantic emails saying we had failed to fax them in on time - in actual fact it turned out they hadn't checked the fax tray in the office. They mis-communicated the landlord's requirements, telling us he would never allow a pet to be kept at the property. When we spoke to him in person it turned out he was happy for us to keep a pet.
Thankfully, we only dealt with the agency during the moving in period, after which management of the property was handed over to the landlord.
