Bathroom was disgusting -- only toilet on the property did not work for >1 month, so we were forced to walk to nearby shops to use the toilet. We consistently had mushrooms etc. growing in the bathroom despite vigorous cleaning efforts, right from the start of the tenancy. The ventilation in both the kitchen and bathroom was awful, with no working extractor fans and faulty windows. The boiler was also faulty -- broke for 2/3 months from January -> March, during the coldest part of the year. Most of us ended up using the University showers, got used to having no hot water and no heating. Kitchen and dining room also very small for four people -- no space for a full table and chairs for us to sit down; barely enough space for the sofas.
