Property rating
For the amount of money paid per month (and the fact that it is rent, electricity and wifi all in one) it is difficult to assess whether it is a fair price. The size of the individual rooms are laughable, but then again it's not the US where students share single rooms. Private renting in the city is definitely cheaper when considering room sizes and the number of students sharing a flat.

Area rating
Given that Aberdeen is not a big city by any means, Hillhead is very far away from the city centre (a 40-minute walk). This is made up for by the fact that Hillhead itself is a fun place to be for a year to experience what it is like to live with other first-year students. Lots of partying going on, which can also mean noise pollution if you live with (or adjacent to) those who like to party.
