The landlord for this property raised the rent on us on 3 separate occasions even with the condition of the house. They again were aware of the damp issue, nothing was done about it. We also made complaints about the neighbour and were basically told that they had been friends for a long time, deal with it yourself. It was extremely unprofessional the way it was handled. If you have chosen to be a landlord, do your job!

Chapplins did not provide us good service from start to finish. We had been contacted once about having an inspection done at the property. We booked a day off work for this, all to find out they never even showed up because of an admin error on their end. No type of reimbursement was provided. Just wasted a whole day of annual leave for nothing! They also did nothing at the end of the tenancy with regards to the damp issue.

The property has a severe damp problem which was covered up by a botched paint job before moving into the property. It wasn't until the first winter that the damp started coming through the paint. Paint was chipping off, water was dripping down the walls and the overall condition of the house was awful.

The Wallington area of Fareham is lovely. This was about the only benefit of living in that area. The pubs are lovely! Apart from some of the neighbours as the garden walls are extremely low leaving little to no privacy, we could never go in the garden without the neighbour coming out and speaking to us or interrupting something.
