Lovely, quiet, friendly neighbourhood. There's a real community feel and my neighbours have been nothing but nice.

I love the area as it's so close to Gloucester Road and easy to get into town. The road itself is quite busy and noisy but that's what you get for living on a main road. The pub opposite could sometimes be noisy at closing but this was never past midnight.

We didn't live there as the tenancy fell through at the last minute, so we never moved in.

Heaton is the typical student and young professional suburb. Plenty of take-aways and good ammenities on Chillingham Road and its near to Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys. Transport is good, right next to Chillingham Road metro, or the bus #1 goes down Second Avenue into town.

Parklands is a nice area. Access to facilities is good, supermarkets are nearby; access to town via Regent Centre and Wansbeck Road Metro Stations are good as well as buses from the main Great North Road and Regent Centre. The main Park Avenue is used as a through-road and I notice is used by speeding drivers not obeying the 20MPH limit occasionally.

Barkham and Wokingham is a nice enough area. The house itself however is down a long muddy country road. And the landlord will tell you it's a 20 minute walk to Wokingham station. It is not. 45 easily.

The house is situated in a fantastic area, 5 minutes walk from Gloucester Road with all its Pubs, Shops and Restaurants. The area is vibrant and diverse, regularly hosting arts and social events. The house is also a short cycle from the town centre and the Downs, Ikea and Big Tesco. You can get to open fields along the motorway by taking an alleyway off Muller Road behind the house and only a short walk to St Werburghs with its Farm Pub, City Farm, Community Garden, allotments and Festivals. A fantastic area which also has brilliant public transport including busses into town, UWE and Cribbs as well as being in relatively close proximity to Montpelier Station.

Accommodation is on campus and therefore is secure, with a Porters to report any problems to. The campus has plenty of food and drink places, study areas and outdoor spaces.
