Letting agent review for Nevin and Wells Residential, Egham

Agency rating: 6
Agency were okay. They were very quick with dealing with any enquiries and did voice my concerns to the landlord. However, they did send around peopleto view the property and carry out maintenance work when I told them specifically that that day was a bad time for me and not to come. The landlord was not great and did not allow for repairs in a good time, the repairs were also not of good quality.
I really had to fight for my deposit back, it took them over eight months to even look at my request, let alone complete it. I had to seek legal advice and I was charged unfairly for cleaning when we did professionally clean the property. I ended up losing close to £300.

Property review for 52 Nightingale Shott, Egham Town, Egham

Property rating: 1
Property was falling to pieces when I moved in. The vinyl flooring kept peeling up, the showers were leaky and had poor pressure, and the boiler cupboard was broken and on pieces on the floor. Myself and my housemate had to move it to the downstairs bathroom to avoid it breaking further, which meant we had one bathroom less. There were letters and junk mail dating from 2005 strewn across the kitchen side, all surfaces were dusty. The heating was broken and the landlord took forever to deal with it. The walls are paper thin so if someone is speaking in another room, you can hear everything. you’ll never find parking- people will just use your space.

Area review for Egham Town, Egham

Area rating: 1
It’s close by the royal Holloway and the station but that means the property is very noisy. The area itself is crime ridden, there were always police cars in the parking lot. I did not feel comfortable living there.
