Tenancy review for 7 Milner Place in St Luke, Winchester rented via Goadsby

We were communicating through the agency, which usually replied quickly, however not in consideration to the covid -19 pandemic, as they’re not responding. Usually they would arrange plumbers, electricians, painters etc to come without any notice or to inconvenient times, but otherwise they’re ok.

The size of the house is good. There’s a kitchen, four bedrooms (three single beds and one double), living room, two small hallways, a bathroom upstairs with a toilet and a tub, and a toilet downstairs. The smallest bedroom had the closet/wardrobe in the hallway just outside the bedroom door. The fire alarm in the kitchen went off almost everytime we cooked (pretty sure it reacted to heat and not fire). We’ve had trouble with mould(!) and water damages (they fixed it downstairs and the upstairs bathroom (a leak from the tub) but haven’t fixed the upstairs bedroom where the wall is literally wet on the inside when it rains, plus one window is punctured (they promised to fix it but they never did). Plus the radiators are all connected, and the one in one of the upstairs bedrooms is broken so you can only switch the heating on/off and not adjust the temperature, which is problematic if your housemates can’t agree on the temp.

Close to the Cromwell shop and bus stop, five/ten minute walk to main campus, even longer to west downs, and close to town. Lovely neighborhood and neighbors. Plus there’s a backyard.
